Service landscape for private universities in indonesia based on service oriented architecture and cloud technology

<p>Information technology (IT) has been widely adopted and is believed to improve academic processes’ efficiency run private universities’ functions (PTSs) in Indonesia. Nonetheless, adopting diverse technologies for them will also create many challenges. PTSs are struggling survive terms of technological implementation, the sense that investment implementation rate just cannot catch up with advancement rate. Even when more trying transform into digital entities, next problem be system integration flexibility. This study aims overcome this by implementing a framework can both integrated flexible while serving investments. Many studies already suggested Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) cloud solutions.</p>Nevertheless, none able define what standard services applied within those platforms. To determine this, we use BIAN service landscape, which was translated from banking industry, offering comprehensive view business domain capabilities alongside its functions. While offers common throughout same platform, modify using OASIS model SOA, allows complying platforms databases, programming languages, network infrastructures. We completed our defining one area: processes, three domains, 19 capabilities, 84 strongly confident findings results act as reference creating cloud-based platform Indonesia’s higher education systems.
